New trends: towards shorter sports shorts for athletes

You've probably noticed a significant transformation in men's sportswear, particularly when it comes to the length of shorts. We all remember our sport's iconic figures such as Rich Froning and Matt Fraser, who made their mark by debuting in long, baggy shorts - not exactly ideal when you're practicing a discipline requiring a wide variety of movements!

Over time, the trend has been reversed, favoring shorter boardshorts, better adapted to the demands of the discipline and providing greater ease of movement for athletes. When Resilience Skill was founded, this trend inspired us to design our first ranges of boardshorts, which quickly won over our community. Our approach, combining our textile expertise and the invaluable feedback from our network of customers, friends and athletes, has been the foundation for the development of a collection of shorts meticulously designed to meet your specific needs.

First evolution in 2022: a woven elastic belt for improved ergonomics

Thanks to valuable feedback from our community and our observations in the field, we came up with the idea of designing a woven and embroidered elastic belt for our summer 2022 collection.

It offers greater adaptability to different body shapes, unrivalled comfort against the skin and greater ease of movement, particularly in weightlifting. It will gradually replace the old fabric belt with drawstrings in all our new collections.

This innovation on our boardshorts has quickly become emblematic of our brand's models, and has even been adapted to certain women's shorts this year!

The side slit on our shorts: reinventing freedom of movement
